AGL Under Pressure

On 17 May 2022 we sent a letter signed by a dozen health and community organisations and over 100 health workers to AGL shareholders urging them to vote against AGL’s dangerous plan to split their company in half. Shareholders are clearly under pressure, as seen by HESTA’s welcomed new commitment to vote against the proposal. You can read the letter below.

The shareholder letter delivery occurred shortly after passionate health workers took action outside the Energy Transition Summit in Sydney, highlighting the destructive role AGL has been playing in a transition to a clean energy future. You can read about this here.

If you work or study in health, please join over 700 fellow health workers and students and 25 health organisations and sign our open letter to AGL calling for a commitment to transition to 100% renewable energy by 2030. You can sign the letter here: https://www.healthyfutures.net.au/agl.
